UNI 11158:2015, point 3.25, and UNI 11560:2022, point 3.12, define personal protective equipment (PPE) as a product designed to protect the person wearing it, or carrying it, from health and safety risks. Specifically, PPE against falls from a height must secure the person to an anchor point in such a way as to prevent or arrest a fall from a height in complete safety.
