According to UNI 11158:2015, point 3.56, the clearance is the free space starting from the point of the worker's fall, necessary to compensate for both the free fall and any elongations/deformations of the anchoring system and the fall arrest system, without the worker hitting any obstacles during the fall and which includes any safety margins.
