Che cos’è un sistema di accesso mediante corda/fune?

According to UNI 11158:2015, point 3.45, a rope/cable access system is an individual fall protection system that allows the worker to reach and leave the workplace in such a way as to avoid or arrest a free fall through the use of a work line and a safety line, separately connected to reliable anchor points.

UNI EN 363:2008, at point 4.2.3., establishes that a rope access system:

  • allows access to and/or from the workplace under tension or suspension;
  • prevents or arrests the user's free fall;
  • allows the user to move between higher and lower positions and can allow lateral movement;
  • uses a low attachment point on the harness to connect to the work line;
  • includes a work line and a safety line that are separately attached to the structure;
  • It can be used for job positioning after the job site has been reached.

The work line and the safety line are attached to the same harness.

Assembly can be done in various ways:

  • leg belts or body harnesses may be used;
  • the possibility of including a seat for comfort and stability should be considered;
  • The connection of the work line and the safety line to the user should always take place through the harness even if a work seat is used;

If in a rescue situation there is more than one person on the system, the nominal load must at least correspond to the total mass of the persons on the system.
